Role

AwanTunai is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who will be overseeing the integration of development and operations processes, ensuring efficient deployment, automation, and maintenance of infrastructure while enhancing system reliability, scalability, and performance.

Responsibilities

1. Building, maintaining and automating a world-class systems infrastructure delivering high reliability and the best performance possible.
2. Implementing latest DevOps and Infrastructure as code frameworks and best practices in GCP infrastructure.
3. Ensuring cost-effective service delivery by automating critical processes, including server deployment, configuration, monitoring, and problem resolution.
4. Ensuring systems are secure and compliant with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
5. Performing quick and accurate troubleshooting, diagnostic to the production system.
6. Assisting with capacity planning and scalability to ensure systems are optimized for continuous growth.
7. Designing and implementing system automation architecture, infrastructure, and process.
8. Providing occasional off-shift availability for Production issues or maintenance.

Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience in System engineering/DevOps/DevSecOps/SRE position
2. Strong skills with Linux system administration
3. Strong skills with web technologies (Nginx/HAProxy etc.)
4. Strong skills with database technologies (MySQL, MongoDB)
5. Strong skills with containers technologies (Kubernetes/Docker, orchestration services)
6. Strong ability to automate repeated manual tasks with python, shell, utilizing Jenkins/Rundeck etc.
7. Hands on experience in GCP/AWS cloud services
8. Hands on experience in infrastructure as code (Terraform)
9. Hands on experience in managing multi entity infrastructure
10. Hands on experience in logging, monitoring and alerting for infrastructure and applications/services.
11. Hands on experience testing and deploying large scale platform is a plus
12. Experience in maintaining infra for data pipelines and data lake is a plus
13. Experience in building a team is a plus
14. Strong problem solving, analytical and troubleshooting skills
15. Must be fluent in English, written and spoken
