Senior Data Engineer

Qualifications:

• Have >5 years in data expertise with a solid technical background and experience in data-intensive systems.
• Experience in a multinational company with a complex organizational ecosystem.
• Experience working in the cloud with micro-services is a plus.
• Significant experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience working with large amounts of data, Big Data processing – batch and streaming Kafka, Flink, dbt & Talend.
• Familiarity with data platforms, including Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Tableau, and Looker.
• Comfortable working in a highly sensitive on-prem data environment, where security constraints are part of the adventure.
• Deep knowledge and experience in databases, DataMarts, Data Modeling, Data Governance, Data Security, BI tools, and ETL Solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, data analysts, architects, product owners, and top management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD delivery and incremental delivery practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design ETL pipelines for each squad.
• Define data models and implement Data Warehouse/Lakehouses.
• Design KPI processing/computing in OLAP layer (BI Stack).
• Define and implement best-of-breed Data Analytics & BI practices.
• Conduct ETL jobs code reviews.
• Design and implement pipelines job orchestration.
• Design and implement cube processing jobs.
• Ensure each squad adopts CI/CD for Data Products delivery.
• Maintain ETL in operational condition.
• Work with stakeholders including executive, product, data, and design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues.
• Support the qualification of projects, extraction, transformation, and loading of data (Data Scoping/Discovery).
• Technical framing: feasibility study, expression of needs, estimation of load and timeframe, and writing technical specifications. Ensure documentation of achievements.
