Position: Senior Compliance Manager
AwanTunai is looking for a Senior Compliance Manager who is responsible for ensuring that the activities of the company are in compliance with all relevant regulations and specifications, and also provide guidance and facilitate staff development on compliance matters.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a sound day-to-day communication and working relationship with related supervisory government bodies and industrial institutes, including BI, OJK, AFTECH, and AFPI.
- Track the latest developments of relevant regulations issued by supervisory government bodies and industrial institutes, analyze and interpret updates, and sync with the compliance committee to ensure management and operation teams stay up-to-date.
- Establish and maintain internal compliance policies, rules, and SOPs, oversee the implementation process, and monitor, identify, and evaluate potential risks while notifying the related team and providing suggestions for mitigation.
- Act as the point of contact for any auditing requests or inquiries from supervisory bodies, handling requests end-to-end while keeping management informed of progress.
- Establish and implement quarterly internal compliance auditing, issue auditing and adjustment reports for management’s reference, and follow up on risk findings or compliance issues with investigations, remediation, and resolution.
- Plan and conduct internal compliance training to establish and strengthen compliance awareness and knowledge of senior and middle-class management personnel.
- Inspect marketing and promotion contents for compliance.
- Inspect new business partnerships (models and products) as well as any new or updated company policies, operation strategies, and new products for compliance.
- Serve as an internal compliance advisor to other units or task forces, providing day-to-day policy compliance consultation and advice, including in legal dispute cases and contract review and fulfillment.
- Collect, streamline, and document all compliance-related policies and documents.
- Handle events of public sentiment, complaints, and urgency.
- Fulfill relevant regulatory, licensing, and reporting obligations for the company.
- Conduct research on specific topics in finance to support or facilitate the business expansion of the company.
- Implement AML per supervisory body requirements, including establishing SOPs, day-to-day monitoring, suspicious case reporting, and investigation, along with related communication with authorities.
- Support ad-hoc assignments or projects assigned by management in the areas of compliance.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or other relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in in-house advisory, compliance, regulatory, or consulting work, preferably in licensed fintech/P2P lending companies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and people skills in both English and Bahasa.
- Strong compliance, internal controls, and regulatory reporting skills.
- Working knowledge of financial services and data protection regulatory regimes.
- Experience working in a fluid/fast-moving environment/start-up will be an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in spoken and written Indonesian and English.
