Senior Android Developer

Job Responsibilities

Brain Above InfoSol Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an expert Android Development Engineer having 5+ years of experience in development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of Android devices including mobile phones and tablets. Responsibilities:

1. Design and build applications for Android devices on the Android platform.
2. Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications.
3. Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.
4. Work closely with our product and design teams to customise the user experience for the Android platform.
5. Experiment with new technologies and bring them to the team.
6. Full life cycle application development.
7. Take ownership of design, code, and debug software.
8. Design and architect new solutions.
9. Technical leadership of new and existing products.
10. Perform software analysis, risk analysis, reliability analysis & security analysis.
11. Integrate new software solutions with existing systems.
12. Integrating 3rd party services.
13. Extract and reverse engineer existing code.
14. Find better ways to make our product & services better in terms of engineering.
15. Mentor junior team members.

Skills Required

Requirements:

1. 5-7 years of experience in development and maintenance of Android applications.
2. Should have good understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
3. Experience publishing a high-quality Android application to the Google Play Store.
4. Experience with Java, Android SDK, NDK, C++.
5. Experience with JSON concepts and REST APIs.
6. Experience working with product management and UI/UX designers.
7. Experience with Git/Bitbucket, Jira, and Jenkins tools.
8. Experience working in an agile environment.
9. Experience with Android framework, as well as offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
10. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
11. Experience with consuming third-party libraries and RESTful APIs, Web Services.
12. Good knowledge of release management.
13. Sound interpersonal and team working skills.
14. Self-motivated and self-managed with a high degree of analytical ability and intellectual curiosity.
15. Possess good communication, analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Pluses:

1. Experience with live tracking and monitoring applications.
2. Experience with security software and solutions.
