Job Description:

1. Perform research and innovation efforts in developing cutting-edge vision transformer models, self-supervised learning, and other advanced AI techniques for computer vision challenges.
2. Design, develop and deploy algorithms for tasks like object detection, classification, segmentation, and enhancing satellite imagery resolution for agricultural insights.
3. Analyze and preprocess large-scale datasets, utilizing statistical methods, data augmentation, and visualization tools to improve model performance and provide actionable insights.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and create scalable AI-driven solutions.
5. Experiment with novel computer vision techniques, including vision transformer-based models, self-supervised learning models, and model distillation (student-teacher models), to identify the best solutions for specific AI use cases, ensuring the highest performance for each application.
6. Optimize and deploy inference models on edge platforms such as smartphones and Raspberry Pi using TensorFlow Lite, OpenVINO, and TensorRT, on real-time AI applications.
7. Build and train models using advanced computer vision frameworks for industrial applications.
8. Develop AI-driven control systems and integrate models with hardware for automation in agricultural processes, including activity tracking systems to monitor SOP compliance.
9. Implement knowledge management solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) for document search and retrieval, ensuring data privacy.
10. Ensure quality assurance and compliance of AI models, performing rigorous testing and documentation of research findings, algorithms, and model architecture.

Job Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with a strong focus on machine learning, computer vision, or artificial intelligence.
• Proven experience (> 4 years) in AI/ML development, with a track record of delivering AI-driven products or solutions.
• Proven experience in managing AI teams and leading AI-focused projects.
• Proficiency in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and strong programming skills in Python or other relevant languages/frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), attention mechanisms, and hands-on experience with vision transformers architectures, self-supervised learning, and model distillation techniques.
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis, data manipulation, visualization techniques, remote sensing/satellite imagery.
• Experience integrating AI-driven control systems with hardware, using devices like Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
• Knowledge of deploying machine learning models in production environments and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Expertise in handling large-scale datasets and distributed training on multi-GPU setups.
• In-depth knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), such as GPT or BERT, and their use in natural language processing tasks. Experience in fine-tuning and deploying LLMs while ensuring data privacy and security compliance.
• Publications in reputable conferences/journals highlighting contributions to the field of computer vision, generative AI and transformer-based architectures.
• Experience with DevOps practices, continuous integration, and data privacy regulations.
• Knowledge of the Palm Oil industry for upstream, midstream or/and downstream is an added advantage.
