Security Engineer

About the role

Join PT Visionet Data Internasional as a Security Engineer and play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's digital assets. As a full-time, Jakarta-based Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining robust security solutions to protect the organisation from cyber threats.

What you'll be doing

• Develop and maintain security architecture, ensuring all systems and applications adhere to security best practices
• Implement and manage security tools, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security technologies
• Monitor security events, analyse logs, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
• Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management to identify and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to proactively enhance the company's security posture
• Provide security training and guidance to employees to foster a strong security culture

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar security-focused role
• Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions
• Proficient in security tools, technologies, and protocols (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPNs, etc.)
• Strong understanding of security best practices, compliance regulations, and industry standards
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
