About Our Client

A global professional service brand is looking to recruit a highly motivated Partner to cover the SEA region. With offices across the SEA, Indonesia is a key market, and such heavy travelling to Indonesia will be expected - hence there is a preference for this headcount to be based in Indonesia.

Job Description

Reporting to the Managing Partner, this role is expected to lead the Financial Services desk practice, able to operate in a remote team setting and run a highly effective business. Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing and overseeing the regional strategy, and ensuring that the strategies are consistent with both the local and global strategy.
  • Identifying market trends, and able to prioritise each projects.
  • Overseeing the firm's key client relationships, driving revenue growth, and providing strategic direction.
  • Providing thought leadership in industry areas of expertise (Financial Services) and representing the company at senior levels of client organizations, industry events, and conferences.
  • Leading high-impact projects, whilst collaborating effectively with the local team in order to ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Understanding clients' needs and providing innovative solutions that address their challenges, enhance value, and drive business outcomes.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, expand existing client relationships, and proposal development efforts.
  • Driving revenue growth through client acquisition, contract renewals, and upselling services.
  • Managing the P&L (profit and loss) and ensuring financial health and profitability.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that could impact client operations.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to team members, supporting their career development and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with key partners, and acting as the primary point of contact for executive-level discussions.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, and from local to global stakeholders.
  • Developing strategic plans to expand the organisation's presence in Southeast Asia
  • Leading and managing partnerships with financial institutions, stakeholders, and government agencies
  • Representing the organisation at industry events and forums
  • Reporting on regional activities and performance to the global head office

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, you must possess working experience in the SEA market, especially in Indonesia. Other requirement includes:

  • At least 15 years of working experience, ideally a combined experience from financial services and consulting firm.
  • A plus if you have experience of at least 4-5 years as a partner in reputable firm.
  • A strong understanding of the banking and financial services sector.
  • Or if you have experience as a C-suite in a financial services industry with regional presence, you are welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor degree from reputable university, or an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Indonesia, and across the region.
  • Experience in managing P&L, business development, project management, strategic management and business planning.
  • Excellent analytic, communication in English and presentation skill.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to engage colleagues at all levels of seniority.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex client relationships and delivering high-impact solutions.
  • Experience leading diverse teams, mentoring junior staff, and managing cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
