Job description

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Manager to join our dynamic team in the PT Alfa Valves Indonesia. The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing sales operations, developing strategic plans, building customer relationships, and achieving revenue targets. This position will require expertise in valve products, market analysis, and strong leadership to drive the sales team to success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales Strategy Development
    • Develop and execute a sales strategy for the valve product line to meet or exceed sales goals.
    • Identify and target new markets and business opportunities, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
    • Regularly assess market conditions and customer needs to adapt sales strategies.
  2. Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team, setting clear goals and performance expectations.
    • Conduct training and provide ongoing support to enhance the team’s product knowledge and sales techniques.
    • Monitor and evaluate sales team performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
  3. Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients in industries such as oil and gas, power generation, water treatment, and manufacturing.
    • Meet with customers regularly to understand their needs and provide tailored valve solutions.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for escalated customer inquiries or issues.
    • Having good customer database at Jabodetabek Areas.
  4. Sales Forecasting and Reporting
    • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and budgets, monitoring the sales pipeline.
    • Analyze sales performance data and provide regular updates to senior management.
    • Ensure CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems are kept up to date with relevant customer and sales information.
  5. Collaboration with Other Departments
    • Work closely with the engineering, operations, and customer service teams to ensure that client requirements are met efficiently and effectively.
    • Coordinate with the marketing department to support sales campaigns and promotional activities.
  6. Product Knowledge and Market Insights
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market conditions.
    • Provide product expertise and guidance to the sales team and customers on various valve types, including control valves, pressure relief valves, ball valves, gate valves, and others.
  7. Contract Negotiation
    • Lead negotiations with clients on pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.
    • Ensure that contracts align with company policies and profitability goals.

Qualifications

  1. Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the valve industry or a related industrial sector (e.g., manufacturing, oil & gas, energy).
    • Proven experience in building and leading a high-performing sales team.
  3. Skills:
    • Strong understanding of valve products, applications, and industry standards.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools (Salesforce, etc.).
  4. Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  5. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
  6. Ability to travel frequently as needed for client meetings and industry events.
