What’s the job?
To provide a fact-based analysis and administrative support for Sales and Revenue Management as a fundamental part of the revenue decision-making process.
To support e-commerce in pricing and inventory distribution, maintain rate parity, and ensure no BPG violations on the rate distribution.
To provide detailed and thorough competitor intelligence data as a basis for assessing Resort positioning against competitors in terms of visibility, electronic merchandising, and promotional pricing. This is a vital role for e-commerce and revenue management in providing current, accurate information about the external climate within which the hotel operates.
Your day to day
- Support daily, weekly, and monthly reports required by Revenue.
- Gather data and facts and transform them into meaningful information to support the revenue decision-making process.
- Assist with the compilation of annual budgets, business plans, and regular action plans.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and understanding of hotel systems – Opera, Holidex, Delphi, to ensure appropriate capture of data for client information, events, forecasts, and results.
- Using the tools provided (i.e., IBP, SBRP) and in compliance with IHG standards, maintain, update, and share information in all areas including the calendar of external events, competitor rate intelligence, STR results, account management insights, regret and denial reports, system contributions, and trends in room revenues by channel and segment.
- Attend the Revenue Room Meeting (which the GM chairs) and generate reports and analyses needed for the meetings, displaying key facts/trends on the revenue room walls.
- Prepare and complete regular and ad hoc reports and take on special projects when required, especially relating to competitor information and market.
- Assist with monthly forecast submissions.
- Execute daily forecasts for F&B revenue and conduct F&B Revenue meetings to communicate the latest trends, raise alerts for any negative trends found, and ensure F&B is performing on track to meet forecasts.
- Facilitate F&B Department to conduct a deep analysis of F&B customers and trends.
- Assist the sales team in providing data and analysis.
- Attend to telephone, fax, and email inquiries in a timely manner.
- Assist with the planning and development of promotional strategies and marketing plans for the hotel.
- Work with other IHG properties and assist superiors including regional sales personnel to sell their properties.
What’s the qualification?- Minimum of five years’ experience in five-star/luxury hotels and resorts.
- Minimum of 2 years multi-property Reservation Manager experience.
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or a related field.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Advanced PMS Opera skills.
- Team player.
- Proficient in statistical and competitive analysis.
- High-energy individual with a positive attitude.
- Understanding of hotel operations and alignment with their needs through the revenue department.
- Knowledgeable in hospitality industry operations and revenue management.
