Retail Senior Product Development

Retail product development jobs involve creating new products, improving existing products, and managing the product development process.

Responsibilities

• Market research: Identify consumer needs and market trends
• Product strategy: Create strategies to meet customer needs and increase sales
• Product development: Oversee the development process from concept to launch
• Prototyping: Create prototypes and test them with customers
• Product quality: Ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations
• Product specifications: Create detailed product specifications
• Communication: Communicate with other departments, such as marketing and sales
• Vendor management: Source materials, order raw materials, and communicate with vendors
• Factory management: Liaise with factories and travel to offshore factories to check production

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in product design or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in product development or similar role
• Strong understanding of product development processes, from ideation to commercialization
• Knowledge of quality assurance, product testing and product optimization
• Proficiency in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality products
• A creative mindset and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
• Experience in collaborating with international teams or working in a global context
