About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research & Development Assistant to join our team.

As a Research & Development Assistant - Wood Coating at PT Polychemie Asia Pacific Permai, you will play a key role in the development of innovative wood coating solutions. Based in South Jakarta, Jakarta, this full-time position will involve supporting various research activities; color matching; coating with brush, roller, or spray; managing customer complaints; helping to create samples for our projects, and collaboration with the broader R&D team.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or a related scientific field
• 1-2 years of experience in a research and development or laboratory setting, preferably in the wood coatings or paints and coatings industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and instrumentation for material testing and analysis
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the R&D team
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices
