Research Consultant (Contract, convertible to permanent)

Purpose of the role is managing client requirements and independently completing all things are needed by clients also to ensure achieving target.

Job Description:

Business Development

• Set up hunting leads both Outbond Leads and Third Part Leads
• Does internal follow-up within 1 week after presentation
• Ensure sales target are achieve
• Approaching, pitching & negotiating with potential client
• Established and maintain relationships with client for ongoing research needs
• Reporting all leads progress to the senior level

Research Proposal Design

• Conducts desk research to enhance analysis of data
• Develop Research Proposal based on clients requirement, Brief Note or Term of Reference
• Coordinates with Internal team to develop research methodology and timetables strategy for each client requirement
• Coordinates internally with Sales Admin or Finance on the preparation of the research costing

Client Management

• Conducts standard checks to ensure that deliverables are error-free
• Prepares reports or regular deliverables for submission to clients
• Joins discussions with clients and takes down notes on their study objectives
• Prepares presentations for clients (template, legend, animation, summaries, comments)
• Ensures that client pay on time according to term of payment.

Documentation and Presentation

• Documents internal and external minutes of the meeting
• Responsible for accomplishment of internal forms such as database forms, quotation form, Contract document
• Coordinates with client on date of presentation
• Attends and assists Senior Business Development during client presentation and meetings

Scope of the role:

Relationship with Clients:

• Understands the current clients business issues
• Participates in client briefing sessions
• Practices good communication with client contacts
• Understands what is the level of service committed with the clients
• Identify and understands the segment of clients involving the structure, major trends, main players, latest launches, key initiatives
• Be in the loop of client news

Relationship with Internal teams:

• Ensure the project are running on time, on budget and according to client’s needs
• Direct contact with internal team to solve all problems related to daily task
• Ensures that project requirements are met.

Knowledge and skills required:

• Master Degree or Bachelor degree in the following major – Communication, Management, Marketing, Statistics, Math, Economics, Psychology or any related discipline.
• Experience: 1-2 years
• Having experience in research projects (academic, social, or business) is a must.
• Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
• Proficient in English both oral and written.
• Good building relation skills and service orientation
• Innovative, Target Oriented, Good time management and flexible
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• A fast learner and attentive to details
• Knowledge of various statistical and analytical techniques and/or tools is an advantage.
