RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (COSMETIC)

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Develop new formulations and provide recommendations to improve or customize formulas, processes, or analytical methods respective to the formula
• Responsible for the development of skincare product formulation including personal care, Traditional medicines (OT), and Household Health Supplies (PKRT) products.
• Lead and develop the Research and Development team
• Carry out any additional assignments as directed by Research and Development Management.
• Ensure stability and efficacy according to project requirements
• Issue product specifications as required and maintain relevant data throughout each product’s development.
• Verify formula reproducibility before initial production run with lab-scale up.
• Responsible for the formulation process, trial, and validation
• Responsible for the results of laboratory-scale testing and product development scale
• Maintain adherence to cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practice), and product compliance according to BPOM and other foreign FDAs (for export)
• Responsible for product registration documentation including PIF

Job Requirements :

• Have a minimum of 5 years experience in Research and Development in the Cosmetics industry preferably in skincare and a minimum of 5 years experience in a management role (manager/assistant manager)
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or equivalent
• Strong leadership with interpersonal skills
• Innovative, self-motivated, with good communication skills and strong analytical thinking
• Able to work under pressure
• Having knowledge about formulation, trial, small/large production process
• Having knowledge about the registration of cosmetic products, traditional medicines (OT), and Household Health Supplies (PKRT)
• Understand Halal certification
