We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge. We are seeking a SEAP Regional Senior Professional Education Development Manager to lead, design, and deliver professional learning development (PLD) for current and aspiring Cambridge schools, school leaders, and teachers. This role is crucial in implementing Cambridge's strategy to provide high-quality teaching and learning support across the SEAP region.

About The Role

As the SEAP Regional Senior Professional Education Development Manager, you will work with schools and other organisations to expand their understanding of teaching, learning, and assessment. Demonstrating thought leadership as you take forward initiatives to support aspiring schools, develop School Readiness and School Continuous Improvement programs, and analyse the regional education climate to ensure our support meets the latest trends. Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Strategic oversight of trainer selection and development, line managing the PLD Delivery Manager and the Regional PLD Specialist and collaborating with Cambridge-based teams to ensure the successful delivery of training events.
  • Effectively managing multiple responsibilities whilst influencing and negotiating with key senior level stakeholders.
  • Nurturing strategic partnerships and contributing to the design and review of training and support for teachers and school leaders.
  • Managing the quality assurance of the regional partners and associates (local trainers) for Cambridge PDQs and Learning Resource training.


About You

  • It is essential that you have an internationally recognised degree and postgraduate qualification or experience in a related field. You are a recognised thought leader who brings demonstrable experience and expertise in professional learning and development for teachers.
  • You are a trained and quality-assured workshop leader/professional learning and development facilitator for adult learners.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of SEAP Regional Education Systems - Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia.
  • Strategic thinking ability with budget management and decision-making skills, and you can work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • You have experience of strategic management in a commercial educational environment and understand pedagogy and active learning as they relate to the professional learning and development of teacher practitioners.
  • Your excellent oral and written skills in English, along with your ability to make and maintain positive professional relationships at all levels, are essential.
  • A successful career as a Cambridge teacher is desirable.
