About Our Client

Our client, a passenger car sales and distribution company, is looking for an experienced Regional Head to oversee and drive sales, marketing, channel management, and after-sales service operations in the West Indonesia region. This leadership role is crucial in implementing sales strategies, expanding the dealer network, and ensuring the growth of vehicle sales, spare parts, and after-sales services within the region.

Job Description

  • Sales & Marketing Management:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive regional sales strategy that aligns with Indonesia's overall goals.
    • Drive increased sales of vehicles, spare parts, accessories, and after-sales services across the region.
    • Set and achieve short-term and long-term sales targets for all automotive products offered by the company.
    • Analyze market trends, customer preferences, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Channel & Dealer Network Development:
    • Strengthen and maintain strong relationships with existing dealerships in the region, providing actionable feedback and recommendations for growth.
    • Identify opportunities for expansion, such as opening new dealerships or increasing market penetration in underserved areas.
    • Provide market insights and strategic recommendations based on regional conditions.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    • Lead, manage, and develop the regional sales team, including direct sales representatives, dealers, and distributors, ensuring they are aligned with business goals and targets.
    • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the sales team to drive performance and achieve sales objectives.
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient coordination and resource allocation for regional operations.
  • After-Sales Services & Customer Support:
    • Ensure the effective execution of after-sales services across the region, improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Monitor after-sales performance, including parts sales and service revenue, and take necessary actions to boost results.
  • Performance Reporting:
    • Provide detailed sales performance reports to senior management, covering vehicle sales, parts sales, and service revenue, including strategic insights for future growth.
    • Continuously evaluate performance data to adjust strategies as necessary to meet targets.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership position, ideally in the automotive industry or a similar sector such as retail/FMCG (with experience from top-tier companies).
  • Proven experience managing the West Indonesia region, preferably with a background in sales operations or dealership management.
  • Strong expertise in sales operations and experience in developing and executing regional sales strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of the automotive industry, including new and pre-owned vehicle sales, parts, after-sales services, and regional market dynamics.
  • Familiarity with sales forecasts for vehicles, spare parts, and services.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Automobile Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Willing to be based in Medan.
