Job description

Job Title: Quality Manager

Employment Type: Full time

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to ensure that our products and services meet and exceed all necessary quality standards.

The Quality Manager, or Quality Service Manager, ensures the establishment and enforcement of robust quality standards and procedures to ensure the final product is built in compliance with standards that meet and exceed customer expectations.

They must fully understand the requirements for the product and have a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers as well as the competition.

The goal is to help preserve our reputation by ensuring that our products and services are capable of driving sustainable growth.

Quality Service Manager responsibilities include:

  1. Being the “voice of the customer” by establishing quality acceptance standards for all processes, even if it requires taking unpopular stands to protect our customers while supporting operational targets for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  2. Serving as the Management Representative for the ISO 9001: Quality Management System.
  3. Championing effective root cause analysis by supporting teams in documenting corrective and preventive actions needed to improve performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  4. Being the primary customer and supplier contact for quality issue resolution and quality data/audit requests.
  5. Overseeing all testing and inspection processes including customer specification management, acceptance standards, methods training, calibration, GR&R, data management, and use of statistical capability to establish process control limits.
  6. Leading investigations, together with suppliers, to establish control and disposition of non-conforming material.
  7. Serving as the “Gate Keeper” for the new product validation process to ensure new or modified products meet customer requirements and demonstrate acceptable manufacturing capabilities for repeatability.
  8. Ensuring control of Quality System documentation and procedure compliance through an effective internal audit process.
  9. Developing and training the quality team, as well as verifying the training effectiveness of our hourly associates for quality acceptance guidelines.
  10. Recruiting qualified individuals as needed, and training, coaching, evaluating, and developing staff, including conducting annual performance appraisals.
  11. Maintaining standards of work performance and attitude to ensure a safe and productive environment.
  12. Actively engaging in the Integrated Working System (IWS) Quality Pillar by encouraging, teaching, participating in, and supporting the IWS culture and tools.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemical, Technology, or related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Quality Manager, preferably in the printing/packaging industry.
  3. Conscientious and responsible.
  4. A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
  5. Outstanding communication skills; proficiency in English is a must.
  6. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  7. Proficient in MS Office.
  8. In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant quality standards.
  9. Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
  10. Experienced in driving the Quality Agenda in TPM, TQM, or similar Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Others:

  1. Work in Malang and travel if necessary.
