Responsibilities:

QA Process Monitoring :

  1. Monitor Risk Assessment Line Review process to highlight potential areas and work with factory to mitigate risk.
  2. Manage the pre-production meeting cadence based on risk level, to ensure all necessary due diligence and care is taken to mitigate quality issues.
  3. Closely track Quality KPIs to determine factory performance. Highlight areas for improvement.
  4. Audit the sewing line process to ensure it is compliant to Carters process standards.
  5. Ensure Factory QA’s are managing the QA processes correctly and provide insight to the Factory QA team to solve product quality issues.
  6. Conduct in-line QA Inspections using the Carters Traffic Light system and determine if final inspections need to be reassigned to 3rd party.
  7. Partner with 3rd party inspection providers as and when necessary.

Develop Factory QA Team :

  1. Lead onboarding new Asian fabric suppliers of raw material to ensure steady supply.
  2. Prepare mill scorecard and performance report matrix for Management Review to support global procurement decision.
  3. Identify supplier risk area and execute risk mitigation actions with technical and feasible solution for fabric issues at mill.
  4. Train and educate factory QA teams to identify recurring quality issues and root cause analysis techniques.
  5. Conduct investigations on quality failures identified at the DC or the customer, to mitigate the risk of further issues.
  6. Apply CAPA mechanism to manage non-conformities as required.

Job Requirements:

  1. Diploma or above with major in textile or business-related discipline.
  2. At least 10 years quality management process experience in sizable apparel buying office and manufacturing sectors.
  3. Good knowledge of garment and pattern construction, sewing techniques as well as product safety and quality controls.
  4. Experienced with Children’s wear items and the necessary controls needed to ensure a safe compliant garment.
  5. Experienced in conducting garment inspections with strong problem solving skills.
  6. Able to lead and develop factory QA Team to enhance quality process.
  7. Excellent communication skills to lead negotiate with different counterparts.
  8. Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
