The Quality Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality systems to ensure consistent production of high-quality products while addressing and resolving product defects through root cause analysis and effective solutions. This role drives continuous improvement initiatives, oversees production process controls, and ensures alignment with Amcor’s values, quality objectives, and business goals. By fostering excellence and supporting customer satisfaction, the Quality Manager plays a key role in achieving the company’s growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive Amcor’s “Zero Complaint – Zero Defect” journey by implementing and upholding quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  2. Ensure compliance with Amcor Quality systems, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, Halal, and BRCGS standards, while addressing legislative and customer requirements.
  3. Oversee and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to align with business goals and support process effectiveness.
  4. Conduct internal audits, manage quality training, and ensure consistent inspection processes for incoming, in-process, and finished products.
  5. Manage product specifications, recalls, and withdrawals while fostering a culture of quality through training, campaigns, and shared knowledge.
  6. Develop and monitor quality metrics, scorecards, and initiatives that align with customer expectations and drive continuous improvement.
  7. Lead the Quality Control (QC) team to optimize performance, operational efficiency, and compliance with quality objectives.

Qualification/Requirements

  1. Bachelor degree of any major, preferably in chemistry engineering
  2. Certified on Food Safety Management System
  3. Certified on ISO 9001
  4. Certified on Halal Assurance System
  5. Minimum 7 years experiences on Quality working experienced or 3 years in manager level.
  6. Proven capability in managing compliance requirements.
  7. Knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, and other management systems (Quality, Food Safety, Halal Assurance, Laboratory, and Product Safety).
  8. Familiarity with Supplier Audit Management.
