Job Title: Quality Control Specialist - Mining

Job Summary: The Quality Control Specialist for Mining will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring the quality of mined materials, ensuring they meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. This role involves working closely with the operations team to ensure consistency and reliability in the mining process, including material handling, testing, and compliance with environmental standards, specifically for Ore Nickel, Batubara (Coal), and other mining minerals. Proficiency in Mandarin is highly prioritized.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and Inspect Materials: Conduct regular sampling, testing, and analysis of mined materials, including ores, concentrates, tailings, Ore Nickel, Batubara (Coal), and other minerals. Inspect material quality at various stages of the mining process (from extraction through processing and stockpiling).
2. Perform Laboratory and Field Tests: Perform physical and chemical testing (e.g., grade, moisture content, particle size) to ensure that mined materials meet the required specifications. Interpret test results and recommend corrective actions when materials deviate from quality standards.
3. Data Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of test results, inspections, and any quality control issues. Prepare detailed reports and summaries on material quality, highlighting trends, potential concerns, and areas for improvement.
4. Ensure Compliance with Standards and Regulations: Ensure mining operations comply with industry standards, environmental regulations, and health and safety guidelines, including those specific to Ore Nickel, Batubara (Coal), and other mining materials. Work with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with environmental and safety laws.
5. Collaborate with Production and Processing Teams: Communicate with the operations and processing teams to address quality-related issues and recommend solutions. Advise on the quality of incoming materials and their impact on downstream processes.
6. Conduct Root Cause Analysis: Investigate discrepancies or defects in materials, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions. Monitor implementation to resolve ongoing issues.
7. Continuous Improvement: Participate in the development and continuous improvement of quality control processes and procedures in mining operations. Recommend changes to optimize material quality and overall efficiency.
8. Environmental and Safety Compliance: Ensure quality control practices adhere to environmental protection policies and contribute to sustainable mining practices. Participate in environmental impact assessments and audits to monitor compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
2. Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in quality control or a related role within the mining industry.
3. Skills:
   • Strong understanding of mining processes, material testing, and industry standards, specifically for Ore Nickel, Batubara (Coal), and other minerals.
   • Experience with laboratory equipment for material analysis and testing.
   • Ability to read and interpret geological data and technical specifications.
   • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using software tools (e.g., MS Excel, mining-specific software).
   • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
   • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
   • Proficiency in Mandarin is a priority.

Working Conditions:

1. The role may require fieldwork in remote locations, with the candidate prepared to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., extreme heat, cold, or dust).
2. Some travel may be required to visit mining sites, meet with suppliers, or attend training.
3. Safety equipment and training will be provided to ensure safe work practices in the field.
