Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA/QC Lead to lead our dynamic testing teams, overseeing both manual and automated testing efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance methodologies, with the ability to manage and mentor a team, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibility:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support a team of QA engineers, ensuring both manual and automated testing tasks are executed effectively and efficiently.
  • Clarify Requirements: Collaborate with product and development teams to clarify product requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of features and functionality for accurate test case creation.
  • Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules for both manual and automated testing efforts. Ensure alignment with project timelines and product requirements.
  • Test Execution: Oversee the execution of manual and automated test cases, identifying defects, reporting issues, and ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Automation Development: Drive the development, maintenance, and optimization of automated test scripts. Ensure automation is integrated into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and provide feedback on testing efforts. Act as a liaison between the QA team and other departments to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Test Estimation: Estimate testing efforts accurately for both manual and automated tests based on project requirements and timelines. Provide accurate timeframes for test execution and defect resolution, and coordinate with team members for work activities.
  • Quality Metrics: Define and track key quality metrics to measure team performance and product quality. Provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Issue Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for resolving quality-related issues, and prioritize tasks to ensure deadlines are met without compromising product quality.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in QA processes and propose new strategies for enhancing testing efficiency, automation coverage, and overall team performance.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and any defects encountered during the testing process.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Recruit, train, and coach QA engineers, ensuring they have a positive and comprehensive onboarding experience. Assist new hires in understanding the team culture, tools, and testing processes.

Requirement:

  • 2+ years as SQA Lead on web and mobile applications, managing both manual and automated testing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test processes, and test automation tools.
  • Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or similar.
  • A good eye for detail, quality and analytical skill levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the square.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively between developers and business users.
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and analyse requirements.
  • Ability to identify gaps in requirements.
  • Familiar with entity relationship diagrams and the SQL queries.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with a focus on continuous improvement.
