Quality Assurance - Automation Engineer

As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through the development and execution of automated test solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, design test strategies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the software development lifecycle. Your expertise in automation tools, frameworks, and best practices will be instrumental in delivering robust and scalable test automation solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Analyze user stories and requirements to design, document, and execute test strategies and automation plans.
2. Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
3. Implement and optimize test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or equivalent.
4. Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure early detection of defects.
5. Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report issues promptly to ensure quality standards.
6. Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in QA automation and recommend tools or techniques to enhance efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

1. Proven experience in automation testing for web and mobile applications.
2. Proficiency in automation tools such as Katalon, Selenium WebDriver, or Appium.
3. Strong programming skills in Java or other scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
4. Familiarity with frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
5. Experience in integrating automated tests within CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
6. Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) is a plus.
7. Solid understanding of QA principles, software testing life cycle, and Agile methodologies.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to Have

1. ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications.
