Kaleka (Kaleka.id) is an Indonesian non-profit research institute established in 2014 with aims to sustainable and equitable production of commodities and use of natural resources by engaging governments, business, and social communities. As we scale up, we are seeking motivated and skilled professionals to join our team and support our mission.

Public Communication Officer will be responsible for developing research into engaging content for Kaleka's public channels, assisting with report writing and editing, creating content for social media, analyzing digital data to improve Kaleka's online presence, coordinating with other units, and translating data into impactful stories.

Responsibilities

  • Developing research results into interesting content for publication in Kaleka's various public communication channels, both in English and Indonesian;
  • Assisting in writing and editing reports according to the direction of the relevant Manager;
  • Writing and editing articles, news releases, and other relevant content for various social media channels such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Medium, and Kaleka's website;
  • Regularly collecting and assessing data and analytics on various digital platforms in order to formulate recommendations to expand and/or enhance Kaleka's public image and presence online;
  • Coordinating with other units to help ensure all procedures and communication materials are available;
  • Translating data into meaningful stories.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or other relevant field with high interest in research and agriculture;
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience in corporate communications, media, or NGO;
  • Experience in writing articles, news releases, and other relevant content for various social media;
  • Exceptional writing skills in English and Indonesian;
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate ideas;
  • Exceptional organization skills and great attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a team.
