About the Role

Support Strategic Portfolio Governance Lead on overseeing the management and execution of strategic portfolio including progress, budget & schedule. This role also works as quality control of Project financial reports, as well as project governance in the Department.

Portfolio Governance

  1. Oversee the management and execution of the entire portfolio.
  2. Ensure that projects and programs are aligned with strategic objectives and deliver value.
  3. Manage portfolio performance, including tracking KPIs and metrics.
  4. Identify and manage risks across the portfolio.
  5. Facilitate decision-making processes and provide recommendations to governance bodies.
  6. Conduct regular review of the inflight projects to assess project health and make necessary adjustments.
  7. Support Portfolio Governance lead in strategic prioritization arrangement, regular meeting cadence arrangement, and facilitate other required meetings/discussions on an ad-hoc basis.
  8. Ensure all projects comply with Project Governance & Standards as governed by Group & Locally.

Cost Management

  1. Work with Program/Project Managers to oversee program/projects cost status including actual budget tracking, forecast spending, and identifying areas for improvements in project cost control.
  2. Support Portfolio Governance lead in providing project financial status reporting at portfolio level for internal management & group office.
  3. Ensure all projects are in compliance with company Expense and Project Approval and Governance standards.
  4. Independent review of reported cost progress status and advise stakeholders on potential risks and mitigation plans.
  5. Support Program/Project Managers by providing guidance on Project Cost Management, Business Case, Change Management, or Re-baseline related to cost.

Benefits Tracking

  1. Oversee committed benefits from in-flight & completed projects that have been approved in the business case and identify areas for benefit tracking improvements.
  2. Support Portfolio Governance Lead in preparing project benefit status reports at portfolio level for all communication with internal management and group office.
  3. Identify project benefits that are potentially at risk of meeting the benefit commitments, ensure reporting upon and work with stakeholders on plans to green actions.
  4. Ensure all project value/benefit strategies follow group/company standards.
  5. Review project benefit plans in Business Cases with Program/Project Managers to ensure no double counting on the proposed benefits and benefit tracking strategies once projects are completed.
