Job Description

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing Scheduling Services and controlling project execution to meet budget and agreed project schedules. You will create a master plan for an assigned client project that includes timelines, required resources, the order of needed tasks, and the responsibilities of each project team member. You must represent our T&T well by being responsible, punctual, and motivated to exceed the expectations of our clients. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Prepare baseline schedules and schedule basis documents for approval by project teams.
  • Assess impacts to the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team.
  • Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in the development of alternative methods for corrective action.
  • Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts, and schedule analysis on a periodic basis.
  • Maintain record of scope changes, trends, and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.
  • Assure credibility of the information contained in the schedule.
  • Review schedules with project team members on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the schedule.
  • Facilitate project scheduling meetings and/or interactive planning meetings as required by the project team.
  • Participate in project meetings at the discretion of the project manager.
  • Upon completion of each project, develop and record the project’s historical schedule information and lessons learned for future use.

Systems and tools capability

Competency using Primavera P6 or later, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Key technical competencies:

  • Project Control, Cost Control, Project Management, and playing a role in strategic planning.
  • WBS development capability for green and brown field projects in O&G or Mining Industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering in Civil, MEP, Mining, Construction Management or related field)
  • 15+ years as a Project Control with 5 years in managerial level, having expertise in planner/scheduler on capital projects, including design and construction phases; less experience may be considered with strong related experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the use of modern planning and scheduling principles, methodologies, techniques, and tools.
  • Proficiency using Primavera version 6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Experience within the Mining, O&G, and construction industries is preferred.
  • Industry certification is a plus.
  • Capability to review scope of work, project Preamble, Drawings, and Specifications.
  • Knowledge, skill, and capability to ensure quantity take-off QS Team are within the company standards and project requirements and scheduled Scope.
  • Control and monitoring quantity of material received by material controller, issued, and used at site by subcontractor to facilitate weekly progress.
  • Capability to evaluate Site Instruction with Planned cost in comparison to original approved contract scope of work and identify difference in scope of works and subsequently finalize the site instruction with Planned cost and submit through Cost control for approval by Company.
  • Conduct evaluation of Progress Measurement submitted by Subcontractor QS and generate reports.
  • Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively.
  • Ensure that cost auditing and valuation work is managed effectively and that a robust process for cost validation is in place.
  • Carry out the production of monthly cost reports for presentation to the client.
  • Ensure that final accounts are negotiated and agreed in a timely manner.

Working Condition

  • South Kalimantan, Indonesia.
  • Rotation of 6 weeks on: 2 weeks off rotation; 6 days per week & 10 hrs. per day.
  • Indicative project duration 18 Months.
