Project Engineer Civil

The Project Engineer - Structural and DED Civil is responsible for the design, analysis, and execution of structural engineering projects with a focus on Detailed Engineering Design (DED). This role involves developing comprehensive engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and overseeing project implementation from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities

1. Structural Design and Analysis
   • Perform structural analysis and design of buildings, bridges, and other civil structures using advanced engineering software.
   • Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure structural integrity and safety.
   • Conduct load calculations, material selection, and other analyses to meet project requirements.
2. Detailed Engineering Design (DED)
   • Prepare and oversee the creation of Detailed Engineering Design (DED) documents, including structural layouts, detailed drawings, and construction methodologies.
   • Ensure DED outputs are accurate, comprehensive, and meet project standards.
   • Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate designs seamlessly.
3. Project Coordination and Management
   • Oversee the execution of structural engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
   • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and clients to address technical queries and resolve project challenges.
   • Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for stakeholders.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance
   • Ensure designs comply with local and international codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ACI, AISC, Eurocodes).
   • Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and quality assurance checks throughout the project lifecycle.
   • Perform site inspections to verify that construction aligns with DED specifications.
5. Risk Management and Problem-Solving
   • Identify and assess potential structural risks and implement mitigation strategies.
   • Address and resolve design or construction challenges efficiently.
6. Software and Tools
   • Utilize structural engineering and DED software, such as SAP2000, ETABS, Staad.Pro, and AutoCAD.
   • Prepare 3D models and simulations for structural designs, if required.

Qualifications

1. Education
   • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
   • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering is advantageous.
2. Experience
   • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in structural engineering and DED preparation.
   • Proven expertise in designing and managing large-scale civil and structural projects.
3. Skills
   • Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and other design tools.
   • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
   • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
4. Certifications (Optional)
   • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.
   • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
