Job description

Responsibilities

Program Planning and Strategy:

  1. Develop comprehensive program plans, including objectives, timelines, budgets, and evaluation metrics.
  2. Align program goals with organizational strategy and ensure consistency with stakeholder expectations.

Implementation And Oversight:

  1. Lead the execution of program activities, ensuring timely delivery of outputs and outcomes.
  2. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless program implementation.
  3. Identify and mitigate risks that could impact program success.

Stakeholder Management:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, beneficiaries, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for program-related communication.

Monitoring, Evaluation, And Reporting:

  1. Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness.
  2. Prepare and present regular program updates, reports, and impact assessments to stakeholders.
  3. Use data and feedback to inform continuous improvement.

Budget And Resource Management:

  1. Oversee program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and efficient use of resources.
  2. Coordinate resource allocation and procurement as needed.

Team Leadership And Capacity Building:

  1. Manage and mentor program staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  2. Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related discipline). A Master’s degree is preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably within the NGO sector.
  3. Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  4. Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  5. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
