A well-known West Cork Company is currently recruiting for a General Operative to join their Production Team.

About your new job

• Operate production lines, pack products, build pallets, and assist with cleaning to meet production goals.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Report any safety incidents or concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with the team to set up production lines, perform quality checks, and ensure materials are ready.
• Perform prestart, hygiene, and safety checks as instructed.
• Adhere to GMPs, SOPs, and all regulatory, food safety, quality, and hygiene requirements.
• Accurately document required information in a timely manner.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or issues to the Production Supervisor and use machinery safely.
• Record checks as instructed.
• Participate in lean manufacturing processes and support continuous improvements in food hygiene and housekeeping.

What skill/experience you need

• Experience in operating and troubleshooting food production machinery is advantageous.
• Skills in inspecting products, packaging, and labels, reporting defects, and ensuring customer compliance are important.
• Knowledge of hygiene standards for maintaining clean work areas is required.
