Production Manager for Furniture manufacturing company

Job Title: Production Manager

A Production Manager is a professional who oversees the production process and coordinates all activities to ensure enough resources on hand. They can plan workers' schedules, estimate costs, and prepare budgets to ensure workflow meets required deadlines and quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor end-to-end process flow of production from material preparation all the way to completion of item to ensure quality and timeline are met.
2. Organize workflow and resource planning & scheduling to meet order specifications and deadlines.
3. Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
4. Monitor production closely and communicate regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production with recommendation to resolve.
5. Create growth and optimization plan to ensure efficiency and scalability of operations, including machinery investment and maintenance.
6. Set productivity goals and evaluate performance of production personnel.
7. Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment, etc.
8. Create daily, weekly, and monthly activity schedule.
9. Liaise with vendors/suppliers to ensure timeliness of production is met.
10. Evaluate machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime, including instructing/approving maintenance work and purchasing of equipment.

Qualifications:

1. S1 or D3 diploma in Industrial engineering, teknik perkayuan (PIKA), civil engineering or similar.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in Furniture Manufacturing, at least 5 years as coordinator or project manager leading a team. Preferably in a manufacturer producing for export.
3. Can work under pressure and with targets.
4. Proficient in CAD/CAM and furniture tooling and machinery.
5. Have a strong knowledge in wood construction and material specification, finishing, and upholstery.
6. High leadership skills, highly organized and disciplined, creative thinker.
