Production Assistant Manager

Profile : Our Client is a Textile Industry (Indonesia) that was set up in 1973, marking ABY Group's entry into Indonesia. Today, this facility is equipped with 158,880 spindles and has a total production capacity of 48,236 MTPA. It also boasts the latest Vortex spinning technology with 960 MVS positions.

Our client is the world's largest producer of rayon spun yarn, contributing 10% of the global rayon spun yarn trade. It is the largest exporter of rayon and rayon-polyester spun yarn from Indonesia, commanding a market share of 30%. About 80% of its products are exported to customers in the US, Turkey, Korea, Japan, Italy, Greece, Spain, Brazil, Argentina, and other regions in Europe and the Asia-Pacific. Nearly half of its production caters to niche segments, such as high-quality fabrics for medical applications, car seat covers, upholstery, and fancy yarn production.

Our Client has received certifications under SVCOC, FSC, RCS, GRS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, ISO 50001, OEKO-TEX 100, and Higg.

Asst Production Manager
Qualification :

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Technical Textile.
• Required language(s): English
• At least 10-15 years of working experience in Textile (Spinning Business). Spinning experience means understanding Blow room, Carding, Draw Frame, Simplex, Ring Frame, Winding, TFO, Packing), specifically in rayon & cotton material.
• Required Skill(s): Strong analytical & problem-solving skills; great verbal & written communication skills (English & Indonesian); negotiation skills; meticulous attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; proficient in MS Office.
• Understand labor law.
• Indonesian citizen.

• Product Quality: In today's highly competitive global textile scenario, where customer expectations are increasing rapidly due to new technology and new end & critical applications of yarn, providing consistent and top-class quality becomes vital for the production head.
• Manufacturing Cost: Producing yarn at competitive cost is important for PTE to improve the bottom line; hence the job holder has to focus on avenues for reducing manufacturing cost by effective utilization of resources within the budgeted cost.
• Manpower Rationalization: The challenge is to keep reducing hands every year despite increased production to maintain constant manpower costs as labor costs are increasing rapidly in Indonesia.
• Supervise the production department to achieve maximum product efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Implement company regulations, work instructions, and procedures in the production process.
• Control productivity, quality, good housekeeping, and optimum machine utilization.
• Reduce waste generation.
• Responsible for production targets.
• Responsible for yarn quality.
• Responsible for employees' skills.
• Responsible for employees' discipline.
• Ensure the smooth running of the production process.

Job Accountabilities:

• PRODUCTION OPERATION: Plan, schedule, implement the production program, and control the yield factor.
• PRODUCT QUALITY: Drive and ensure quality at all stages of production to meet the desired product quality.
• PROCESS INNOVATION & BENCHMARKING: Motivate, initiate & plan for implementing process innovation, improvisation, and benchmarking.
• COST CONTROL - POWER: Plan and engage manpower and control power costs as per budgeted norms.
• MACHINERY MAINTENANCE: Ensure the availability of machines and equipment to meet target production in coordination with other functions.
• CUSTOMER FEEDBACK: Ensure that necessary corrective & preventive actions are taken based on customer feedback analysis.
• PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: Assess skill levels, motivate, and develop subordinates to take on higher responsibilities.
• QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS: Adhere to quality, environment, and safety standards.
