Principal Specialist Solution Architect

The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Principal Specialist Solutions Architect to join us in Indonesia. In this role, you will be the catalyst creating possibilities, solving problems, and establishing working relationships with customers. You’ll help our customers invest wisely in an infrastructure that will give them maximum flexibility in the future, allowing them to run faster and more efficiently. You will use your business insight to present executive IT leadership with compelling business and technical cases. As a Principal Specialist Solutions Architect, you will collaborate with the broader Sales team and technical delivery teams to bring our customers the best solutions using Red Hat Technologies.

You’ll be expected to handle a range of customer conversations, from introductory discussions on our solutions to mapping architectural and technical details specific to the customer’s environment. As the Principal Specialist Solutions Architect, you will coordinate the efforts of other Red Hat technical staff to design solutions and ensure customer adoption and satisfaction. You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, as you'll be a crucial part of the first impression our customers have with Red Hat. Finally, you’ll want to have a passion for open source, and a balance of technical expertise with business acumen.

What you will do:

1. Gain an in-depth understanding of our customers' business goals, technical objectives and IT environments.
2. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success and Partner Ecosystem teams to assess the potential application of Red Hat and Partner solutions.
3. Provide pre-sales technical leadership for the development and implementation of complex solutions and services.
4. Develop strategic relationships with our customers to become a trusted advisor.
5. Deliver proof of value to our customers and partners through presentations, demonstrations, workshops and pilot projects.
6. Research and write the responses to technical sections of RFIs, RFPs and RFQs.
7. Coordinate the technical efforts of other Red Hat resources like Product Specialists, Support and Professional Services.
8. Deliver compelling recommendations that result in the closing of new sales.
9. Own and meet a bookings quota and perform regular reviews and reports about the opportunities you are working on.
10. Share your expertise by contributing to documentation (e.g., wikis, quick-start guides, blog posts and white papers), developing reusable assets (e.g., demonstrations, workshops) and presenting at conferences and industry events.

What you will bring:

1. Pre-sales, consulting, IT architecture or equivalent experience in support of enterprise accounts.
2. Integration, development, or administration experience with UNIX and Linux systems. Skilled in presenting to small and large groups of mixed audiences, including business, technical, management and leadership teams.
3. Experienced in developing relationships at engineering, commercial and executive levels throughout large enterprise IT organizations.
4. Experienced with modern and emerging technologies including public and private cloud, container orchestration and management, automation and configuration management, DevSecOps and CI/CD, and modern application frameworks.
5. Understanding of complex enterprise solutions and architectures.
6. Collaboration with others and the ability to work well in a team environment.
7. Excellent written communication skills.

One or more of the following is a plus:

• Any Red Hat certification.
• Experience or certification with any public cloud provider.
