About The Team
The Payment Operations team ensures that client ledgers, client balances, and client money flows are correct and that client funds are safeguarded. The team acts as a second line of defense on ledger and safeguarding risks.
About the Role
As a Payment Ops Intern, you will ensure the success and accuracy of all payment flows within Aspire’s platform. This role is critical for managing day-to-day payment processing, troubleshooting payment issues, and supporting cross-border payments across multiple geographies.
What will you be doing?
- Daily Operations - Operate back-end functions on our tech platform such as manual processing of transactions/requests, activating features, invoicing, applying repayments/late fees, ledger readjustments.
- Daily Reconciliation - Perform daily reconciliation to ensure our books/ledgers are in order, and dive deep to analyze any discrepancies, possible root causes, and identify gaps which cause discrepancies.
- External Partner Management - Liaise with our business/service partners daily to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- External Client Management - Interact with our customers to solve their issues/concerns, advise solutions in line with our product capabilities and internal SOPs.
- Internal Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with various internal operational departments/teams to troubleshoot issues, derive solutions, and create new SOPs.
- Build Processes and Frameworks - Own or co-build/design existing or new processes to achieve operational efficiencies of reduced time (SLAs), reduced errors, and better client experiences.
- Ad-Hoc Projects - Work on ad-hoc projects to improve operational efficiencies of reduced time (SLAs), reduced errors, and better client experiences.
Minimum Requirements
- Fresh graduates or final year students from top universities in Indonesia or overseas.
- Excellent command of English both verbal and written - English is the main language used in the company and with clients.
- Able to operate with flexibility and independently in a fast-paced, constantly evolving, and collaborative environment.
- Can focus on a task and remain attentive to detail.
- Strong willingness to learn and understand AML or KYC procedures for financial institutions.
- Passionate about the fintech industry and a start-up culture fit.
