Collaborate with designers to interpret sketches, tech packs, or samples and transform them into precise patterns for various apparel pieces or accessories.
Develop and create initial patterns using both manual and digital methods. Utilize pattern-making software and tools to draft, modify, and finalize patterns.
Perform grading of patterns to create size variations while maintaining proper fit, proportions, and balance across different sizes within the size range.
Work closely with sample makers, designers, and technical teams to oversee the creation of samples and conduct fittings. Make necessary adjustments to patterns to ensure accurate fit and design integrity.
Communicate effectively with design, technical, and production teams to address any pattern-related issues, provide technical guidance, and ensure smooth transitions from design concept to production.
Maintain accurate records of patterns, revisions, and technical specifications. Organize and archive patterns for future reference and production continuity.
Conduct thorough quality checks on patterns to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to design specifications and standards.
Stay updated on industry trends, new pattern-making techniques, and technologies to enhance pattern development processes and improve efficiency.
Job Qualifications:
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Garment, Production, or related field.
2 years of experience as a Pattern Maker or Technical Designer in the Fashion / Garment Industry.
Proficiency in pattern-making software CAD systems.
Strong understanding of garment construction, draping, and sewing techniques.
Excellent attention to detail, precision, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Knowledge of grading principles and size specifications.
