Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for the Pastry Chef to join Jumeirah Bali family.

The Pastry Chef is responsible for leading the pastry kitchen, ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods. This role involves menu creation, staff supervision, inventory control, and maintaining food safety standards & Jumeirah Brand standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and baking of all pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Create innovative and seasonal dessert menus.
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments, especially the front of house manager (Outlet Manager).
  • Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the guest experience.
  • Handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
  • Ensure property follows 100% HACCP guidelines in the workplace; following these procedures is essential.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef specializing in pastries and desserts.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, including baking, decoration, and plating.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in luxury hotels or high-end restaurants.
  • Knowledge of HACCP as well as general health & safety in the workplace.
  • Outstanding customer service skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
