Outdoor Furniture Quality Supervisor / QC & QA Officer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality assurance plans, procedures and control mechanisms for furniture production
• Conduct on-site quality inspections at manufacturing facilities per established protocols
• Define and communicate quality standards and requirements for products, materials, packaging and shipping
• Perform testing related to BIFMA, ASTM, ISTA, EN and other relevant furniture standards
• Analyze product risks throughout the production lifecycle and recommend preventative actions
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes and drive continuous improvement
• Monitor the verification and follow-up of quality issues occurring at the production line and customer sites, ensuring all open NCM issues can be closed in a timely manner
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Sourcing, Engineering and Sales to resolve quality issues
• Manage and provide material/component test/inspection report to Marketing team for promotional purposes
• Maintain meticulous documentation and generate quality reports
• Manage manufacturing quality: process audit, product audit, developing and updating inspection working instructions and control plans, quality awareness training, process non-conformity goods disposal, etc.
• Communicate with factories for correction plans and quality control plans, follow up properly with production team and factory
• Manage and develop a good filing system of QA documents
• Arrange 3rd party laboratory tests, communicate with laboratories for quotation and follow up progress of the tests
• Manage internal laboratory test schedules and laboratory equipment
• Work closely with QC team
• Stay updated on standards released for EN/US

Requirements:

• University degree in quality management, industrial engineering or related disciplines preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in managing quality matters in the industry
• Well experienced in QA, test laboratory, quality tools application in furniture industry
• Proficient in relevant international standards in quality
• Excellent management, reporting and communication skills preferred
