Job Description
Safety Management:
Ensure overall site operations are safe, compliant with environmental regulations, and uphold personnel safety through program administration and facility preservation.
Guarantee adherence to safety and health regulations, including policies from the company, local laws, and other applicable standards.
Foster a safety culture on-site by promoting near-miss reporting, conducting daily safety observations (focusing on unsafe acts and conditions), and analyzing root causes to implement preventive actions.
Enforce the company's safety cardinal rules, regularly train the team, perform compliance audits, and follow up to correct workplace violations.
Establish a site PPE policy aligned with corporate standards, training employees and visitors to adhere to PPE guidelines to minimize risks.
Maintain and enhance safety visual signage across the site.
Keep a well-stocked first aid and emergency center for incident response.
Report EHS monitoring activities to the government promptly to ensure compliance with local regulations.
Oversee equipment certifications and staff competencies to meet regulatory requirements.
Production Management:
Ensure manufacturing aligns with business goals, targeting short- and long-term profitable growth.
Coordinate production with Business Units, Marketing, Sales, Finance, HR, R&D, and other functions as necessary.
Plan and schedule production by setting targets, developing daily schedules, requisitioning materials, and tracking production execution.
Develop and monitor production SOPs and other internal processes, review manuals, and perform internal audits.
Lead production staff by determining manpower needs, providing PPE, addressing grievances, maintaining a skills matrix, and managing performance appraisals.
Promote a 5S culture with regular inspections and award-related activities.
Prepare and monitor the annual budget, tracking monthly plant spending and improving spending efficiency.
Support production teams by coaching, counseling, and managing staff performance.
Engineering and Maintenance Management:
Maintain workshop condition, inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and manage repairs and replacements.
Support operations (production, warehouse, quality) in engineering design and implementation.
Develop action plans for new technology implementations and oversee timely execution.
Warehouse Management:
Manage receiving, warehousing, and distribution by establishing operational and personnel policies.
Secure warehouse operations by implementing and monitoring security protocols.
Control inventory with physical counts and system reconciliations.
Plan and implement warehouse layout designs, inspect equipment, and manage repairs and replacements.
Achieve financial targets by budgeting, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Lead warehouse staff by coaching, counseling, and managing performance.
Quality Management:
Develop an annual Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001:2015 and oversee implementation.
Maintain quality inspection standards to meet customer requirements.
Handle customer complaints and establish corrective and preventive action plans.
Ensure continuous quality improvements, evaluations, and standardization.
Manage QC team performance, including coaching, counseling, and performance appraisal.
Maintain laboratory condition by inspecting equipment and managing repairs and replacements.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Ample experience leading production in the chemical field, and experience handling dangerous/hazardous material
Hands-on experience leading a small-sized team below 70 people.
Excellent command of English.
Strong safety understanding and strong manufacturing understanding.
Ability to assess problems and develop solutions; ability to work under pressure with minimum or no supervision and meet deadlines in a fast-paced changing environment.
