Analysis of operational data to determine performance or cost issues and work toward solutions, analyze the root causes for defects, improve the process capability by eliminating the root causes, and control the new process to sustain the improvements.
Monitor, control, evaluate and review all ongoing projects and promptly provide financial and technical mining support to ensure project development conforms to the initial plan.
Mentor and teach continuous improvement tools and techniques to mining employees, acting as a resource to lead improvement initiatives. Actively lead continuous improvement teams directed at high-impact projects within the mining department.
Actively participate in the development, sharing, and application of mining best practices.
Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identifying, mitigating, and monitoring SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standards, requirements, and procedures applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meets the intended outcome.
Requirements:
Min. 1 year working experience in open cut mining operations.
Competent using statistical software applications such as MINITAB.
Strong analytical (multi-variance data) skills.
Strong reporting and technical writing skills.
Willing to be based at the company’s mine sites.
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage.
