The Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) team is tasked with understanding consumer and the market to inspire and drive growth through actionable insights. In a rapidly changing environment, we seek a passionate, motivated CMI Lead to turn data into opportunities for the growth of our Nutrition business in Indonesia.


Job Purpose
The Consumer & Market Insights (CMI) Lead plays a critical role by driving the company's understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive dynamics. This role is pivotal in informing strategic decisions, enhancing product development, and optimizing marketing strategies to better meet consumer needs and preferences. Main Responsibilities

  1. The role business partners the Indonesia Nutrition Country Lead and is a member of the Indonesia Nutrition Leadership Team.
  2. You will be responsible for the identification and translation of consumer, customer, market and channel needs & desires, multi-source insights and behaviours to guide the brand crafting strategy, innovation and portfolio, digital marketing and commerce, channel & shopper insights as well as drive performance and insights to drive growth.
  3. Understand the Foods category (cooking aids, mini meals, and condiments) and the bigger universe of category we operate in, customers and channels, the key business objectives and challenges, and be able to set relevant research programmes to deliver against business objectives.
  4. Understand Category and Cross-Category Dynamics: Deeply understand the foods business, brands, customers, channels key objectives, and challenges.
  5. Implement the insights in line with best practices and ensure that all research work is actionable and strategically aligned; this includes all practical aspects of Insights end to end.
  6. Brand Crafting: lead comms research programs for all brands in the portfolio.
  7. Shopper & Channel: drive consistent shopper understanding in country, as well as leading pan-channel initiatives across local regions.
  8. Bringing Outside in: Continually gather and integrate the voice of the consumer along with the news from the market and competitors to ensure competitive intelligence is also core part of our strategy.
  9. Strategic Influence: Collaborate across functions to ensure insights are effectively translated into actionable strategies. Present insights and strategic recommendations to Nutrition BU Leadership Team to guide corporate strategy and product positioning.
  10. Spearhead competitive growth for the Nutrition Indonesia: Identify hotspots, issues and opportunities across all cells. Champion insights into action on all things relating to portfolio, innovation and deployment.
  11. Foresights and Innovation: Provide intelligence to shape and future proof our businesses by identifying any emerging trends and by Identifying broader common themes and Insights on consumer & customer pain points or aspirations (needs & wants) across categories and local regions.
  12. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across different functions to ensure alignment and integration of insights into business processes.
  13. Technology and Innovation: Drive the adoption of new technologies and analytical tools to enhance the capabilities of the CMI department.
  14. Motivate and lead any direct reports you have, coaching them towards success.

Candidate Criteria

Experience & Qualification

  1. At least 8+ year Market Research experience (CMI and brand experience is advantageous).
  2. Proven ability to build strong partnerships with stakeholders, communicate effectively, and deliver on objectives.
  3. Interest in human behavior, psychology, and neuroscience.
  4. Experience in leading cross-functional projects and media/communication insight research.
  5. Strong analytical mindset, capability in managing multiple projects, and ability to prioritize workload.

  2. Good understanding of market research with an ability to think strategically - ability to design, develop and land research with impact.
  3. Strategic thinking and the ability to synthesize diverse data sources into actionable insights.
