NOC Engineer Staff

Full time

Job Responsibilities:

1. Performing active monitoring of network health using monitoring tools and identifying anomalous changes or potential issues.
2. Performing systematic troubleshooting and problem-solving to restore network service as quickly as possible, coordinating with another technical team for appropriate handling.
3. Responding to alerts and tickets from the monitoring system to identify and analyze network problems, including connectivity disruptions, slow network performance, or security threats.
4. Create daily and monthly reports (SLA Reporting) on network performance, security incidents, and actions taken. Create accurate documentation of network issues, troubleshooting, and maintenance actions.
5. Able to interact and collaborate with other NOC team members and technical teams such as the network engineering team, operations team, and other teams to solve problems and improve network performance.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field.
2. At least 1-2 years work experience.
3. Extensive experience working as an NOC engineer.
4. Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructures.
5. Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and a basic understanding of network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls.
6. Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Zabbix, The Dude, Nagios).
7. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and excellent troubleshooting skills.
8. Ability to work flexible hours or shifts.
9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work well under pressure.
11. Self-motivated and able to work in a team.
