NDT Technician

Inspecting structures to identify any possible safety hazards that may exist in the materials without causing damage to them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up and standardize equipment, process part, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results.
• Conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
• Provide the necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and Level I personnel.
• Develop work instruction from approved general procedures. Such instruction shall require final approval by a Level III.
• Document test results and create reports for customer requirements.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and managing inventory.
• Adhere to all safety rules, use and ensure that workers use the required protective equipment.
• Ensure that assigned area is clean and organized.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge to process parts, document results, and perform equipment standardization in accordance with approved work instruction.
• Knowledge to carry out any necessary preparation of parts before or after inspection in accordance with approved work instruction.
• Knowledge to conduct system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard.
• Knowledge about end-to-end Penetrant Inspection and Magnetic Inspection.
• Knowledge about material NDT technology & defectology.
• Knowledge about NAS 410 or ASNT SNT-TC 1A.
• Knowledge about material and process for NDT technology.
• Knowledge about Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
• Knowledge about measuring tools as well as calibration.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Diploma's Degree or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience as an inspector.
