Merchandise & E-Commerce Coordinator

Soma Fight Club – Bali, Indonesia

Soma Fight Club is a premier combat sports gym in Bali, specializing in boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and jiu-jitsu. We pride ourselves on offering best-in-class training facilities and fostering a close-knit community of both local and international fighters. We are seeking an enthusiastic Merchandise & E-Commerce Coordinator to manage our in-gym merchandise store and online sales channels. This role is integral to connecting with our members, showcasing our gear, and ensuring a seamless retail experience that embodies Soma Fight Club’s community-driven environment and combat sports culture.

Key Responsibilities

  1. In-Store Sales & Customer Service: Assist customers in our pro shop with purchases and product inquiries. Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to members and visitors, ensuring everyone feels welcome and supported. Handle point-of-sale transactions and respond to customer feedback with a positive attitude.
  2. Inventory Management: Maintain and organize inventory of Soma Fight Club-branded apparel and gear. Track stock levels, ensure popular items are replenished, coordinate ordering of new stock, and receive deliveries. Manage consignment merchandise from partner brands by keeping product lists up to date and ensuring proper display.
  3. Visual Merchandising: Ensure the store is well-stocked and visually appealing. Set up eye-catching product displays that highlight new arrivals, promotions, or seasonal gear. Regularly tidy and organize the shop area to reflect our professional brand image.
  4. Social Media (Instagram) Management: Create and manage an Instagram page dedicated to Soma Fight Club merchandise. Develop engaging content showcasing our products, post regular updates, promotions, and community shout-outs to grow our following. Respond to comments and direct messages, engaging with the gym community online.
  5. E-Commerce & Online Orders: Oversee online sales through Tokopedia and Shopify. This includes uploading product listings with accurate photos and descriptions, monitoring online inventory, processing orders promptly, packing and fulfilling online orders, coordinating shipping or pickup, and ensuring customers receive their gear on time. Provide excellent online customer service by answering questions and resolving any order issues.
  6. Promotion & Community Engagement: Collaborate with gym management to plan merchandise promotions, sales, or special product launches. Encourage members to wear and share our merchandise, and organize occasional pop-up booths during gym events or local markets. Act as a brand ambassador by embodying Soma Fight Club’s values of respect, discipline, and camaraderie.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Education & Experience: No prior work experience required; this is an entry-level role, and we will provide training. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Any experience in retail, customer service, or e-commerce is a plus, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn are most important.
  2. Retail & Inventory Skills: Basic understanding of retail operations and inventory management is helpful. Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
  3. Social Media Savvy: Familiarity with Instagram, including content creation and follower engagement, is desired. A creative eye for product photography and caption writing is beneficial.
  4. E-Commerce Knowledge: Comfort with online shopping platforms like Tokopedia and Shopify is beneficial. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software/tools are expected.
  5. Communication & Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor. Enjoys assisting customers and providing excellent service. Good written communication for online interactions. Bilingual ability (English and Indonesian) is a plus.
  6. Passion for the Brand: An interest in fitness or combat sports will help connect with our members and products. Being community-driven and team-oriented is crucial.
  7. Proactive & Reliable: Self-motivated and able to take initiative. Good time management to handle both in-shop duties and online tasks. Reliability and honesty when handling cash and inventory. Flexibility to assist with additional tasks or special events when needed.

Work Hours & Schedule

  1. Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week: This position is full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, spread across six days, with one day off per week.
  2. Morning Shifts: Primarily morning shifts from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM each day.
  3. Additional Hours: Flexibility for occasional additional hours or shifts during events or promotions.
  4. Location: On-site at Soma Fight Club in Bali, with some tasks, like updating the online store or Instagram posts, that can occasionally be done remotely if needed.
