MEPF Building Services Design Engineers - FOUR SOUGHT

We are an engineering consultancy business that provides design for overseas markets only. This work primarily involves projects in Australia, but it also includes projects in the USA, New Zealand, India, and China.

SEED Engineers is seeking Senior BIM Drafters with expertise in HVAC, Electrical, Wet Fire, Dry Fire, and Hydraulic disciplines. This is a rare opportunity for highly experienced engineers to work on cutting-edge digital engineering projects.

As a key contributor to SAGE (SEED AI for Generative Engineering), you will be at the forefront of AI-driven automation in Building Services design. Your role will involve complex BIM modeling, coordination, clash detection, and automation development for projects across Australia and beyond.

A team of friendly Australians will also be able to support your training and development through video conferencing. If we have an interview with you, we can outline our resourcing plans further.

The disciplines we provide engineering for include:

• HVAC (Air conditioning & Ventilation)
• Electrical
• Fire
• Sustainability

What you will be doing:

• Develop detailed BIM models for HVAC, Electrical, Fire, and Hydraulic systems.
• Work closely with engineers, developers, and AI specialists to integrate BIM into SAGE.
• Ensure BIM models meet industry standards (AS/NZS, BCA, and ISO).
• Support construction-stage coordination for seamless project execution.
• Contribute to automating BIM workflows through AI-driven processes.
• Perform engineering calculations for one of the disciplines listed.
• Optional - Specialist computer modelling such as CFD, FEA, Energy Simulation.

What we are looking for:

• 5+ years of BIM experience in construction or consulting.
• Strong expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks & Dynamo for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection).
• Experience in construction coordination & site-ready documentation.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, tech-driven environments.
• Passion for automation & AI in engineering (bonus if you’ve worked on computational design tools!).
• Team player.
