Mathematics Teacher

Responsibilities:

1. Teach mathematics courses to secondary students, ranging from foundational to advanced levels, in alignment with the international school's curriculum and standards.
2. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
3. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mathematical inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
4. Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, providing timely and constructive feedback to support student growth.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate mathematics with other subject areas.
6. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to provide updates on student progress, academic performance, and any concerns or achievements.
7. Participate in professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in mathematics education and enhance teaching skills.
8. Contribute to the overall school community by participating in extracurricular activities, school events, and committees as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience at the secondary level, with a demonstrated ability to teach mathematics up to advanced levels such as AP, A-Level, & IBDP.
• Deep understanding of mathematical concepts and proficiency in teaching a range of topics including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics.
• Familiarity with the curriculum and assessment requirements of AP, A-Level, or IBDP mathematics programs.
• Strong pedagogical skills and ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Enthusiasm for teaching and a passion for inspiring students to excel in mathematics.
