About the role

We are seeking an experienced Mandarin Translator to join our dynamic team at 广东高义包装科技股份有限公司 in our Batam, Riau Islands, ID office. As a Mandarin Translator, you will play a vital role in facilitating seamless communication and supporting our global operations. This is a full-time position that offers you the opportunity to utilise your exceptional language skills and contribute to the success of our company.

What you'll be doing

• Translate a wide range of documents, including business correspondence, contracts, reports, and marketing materials, between Mandarin and English with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Interpret conversations and meetings between Mandarin and English speakers, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure they maintain the intended meaning and tone.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the context and requirements of each translation project.
• Stay up-to-date with industry terminology, cultural nuances, and best practices in translation.
• Contribute to the development of translation guidelines and processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of our translation services.

What we're looking for

• Fluency in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to translate between the two languages with a high degree of proficiency.
• Proven experience as a professional translator, ideally in a business or corporate setting.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of translation quality.
• Familiarity with translation software and tools, and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
