Manager of System Engineering

Job Responsibilities

As Development Manager within Development of Front End & Back End (API) Application, you will ensure that the implementation design and framework used within the company meet the requirements and practice standards, as well as ensure that the R&D stream runs as expected.

Work closely with Senior Engineer, Program Manager, and Product Owner to ensure that the developed work product meets the requirements within the required timeline and quality.

Ensure written Unit Tests that cover positive and negative test cases to meet QA standards.

Act as Navigator for Pair Programming and Code Reviewer when required for Junior and Intermediate Engineers.

Serve as the 1st level Mentor for Junior and Intermediate Engineers in the area of Engineering Culture and Software Development Practices.

Closely monitor Root Cause Analysis and the Bug or Issue resolution process.

Build learning plans for team members to align with the strategy defined by the Technology Council and propose them to the VP of Engineering.

Demonstrate leadership capability and high awareness of task prioritization and risk.

You will directly report to the VP of Engineering.

Skills Required

1. 5+ yrs working experience in Software Development
2. 2+ yrs working experience as Technical Lead or Senior Developer
3. 1+ Project Experience as Technical Lead or Developer on Medium Scale Project (with 5-8 team members)
4. Experience in projects that implement Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies
5. Familiar with TDD
6. 2+ yrs working experience as VP of Engineering, DevOps, or QA, leading +15 team members
7. 1+ yrs project experience as Architect, Technical Lead, or Developer on High Complexity Project
8. 1+ yrs working experience in a FinTech Company
9. High Proficiency in PHP with frameworks such as Yii, CI, Laravel, Phalcon, Zend
10. High Proficiency in Programming Languages: Java, GoLang, Scala, Python, Elixir
11. High Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and Responsive Design
12. High Proficiency in Database Programming: MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS-SQL Server, Cassandra
13. High Proficiency in Message Queue: Active MQ, Jboss MQ, RabbitMQ
14. Proficiency in Source Code Management: Git, SVN, Perforce
15. Proficiency in App/Web Server: Nginx, Apache, Jetty, Apache Tomcat
16. Proficiency in Build Automation: Jenkins, Maven, Ant, Gradle
17. Micro Service Design Pattern and Development
18. Proficiency in Front End Application Frameworks: ReactJS, Angular JS, Kotlin, Flutter
19. Proficiency in Implementing Systems in Cloud Technology: AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, etc.
20. Proficiency in Container Orchestration: Kubernetes, Mesosphere
