And BMW Indonesia is looking for a “Manager Government & External Affair Indonesia” with the following details:

Function Role:

  • Primary leadership supporting BMW Indonesia office.
  • Responsible for managing local lobbying processes and political communication.
  • Facilitates dissemination of crucial legislative information.
  • Navigates governmental relations and ensures compliance with local regulations.
  • Enhances internal-external communication and solidifies the company's position within regulations.
  • Oversees interactions with relevant authorities for current and future local manufacturing.
  • Manages SKD/CKD harmonization for compliance with political and regulatory standards.
  • Aims to secure and advance BMW Indonesia’s position by engaging with authorities.
  • Aligns BMW Indonesia's objectives with regulatory frameworks for optimal regional presence.

Legislative Monitoring and Government Interactions:

  • Implements an early-warning system for legislative updates.
  • Monitors CO2, environmental, regulatory, trade, and e-mobility matters.
  • Handles interactions with government bodies for future local manufacturing and localization.

Requirements:

  • Min. Bachelor degree within specialization in international business or management preferable.
  • 8-10 Years working experience in the automotive industry required.
  • Proven skills and leadership with the implementation of politically-motivated projects (e.g. government-funded project, cooperation).
  • Professional knowledge with international communications projects required.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English. German language skills would be a plus.
  • Multi-year professional international background with the ability to work in multi-national, multi-functional and complex projects.
  • Active network at local level as well as to strategy and technical departments.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and persuasive ability to assert interests.
  • Strong implementation skills and experience in lobbying in an international environment.
