Job description

We are currently looking for an E-commerce Onsite Manager to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for managing media placements on selected e-commerce sites for clients as well as providing strategy related to e-commerce buying.

Reporting of the role: This role primarily reports to Head of Ecommerce Onsite Buying.

Responsibilities of the role:

  1. Responsible for executing all day-to-day e-commerce media planning/buying and client service activities.
  2. Drive dashboarding, reporting, analysis, and insights on e-commerce campaigns and market performance.
  3. Manage your team effectively to ensure client media campaign KPIs are achieved within agreed timeline and budget with minimal intervention from your direct manager.
  4. Assist in maintaining budget updates and spreadsheets, and billing reconciliation.
  5. Manage your team effectively to maintain team motivation and develop team members.
  6. Engage with local e-commerce partners to create innovations for clients.
  7. Engage with clients directly to understand client’s e-commerce challenges and create solution frameworks.
  8. Advocate media plan recommendations to clients and offer resourceful problem-solving while maintaining successful client relationships.
  9. Work with media planners/digital trading managers to ensure all buys and placements fit the overall strategy.
  10. Motivate and engage internal planning teams on e-commerce media scopes.
  11. Reach out to the wider GroupM network to evaluate collaborative opportunities.

Measures of success:

In three months:

  1. Integrated effectively and in good manner with clients, teams, vendors, and partners.
  2. Understood the client's overall business, our agency business model, and the media industry.

In six months:

  1. Lead and engage with local e-commerce partners to create innovations for clients.
  2. Ensure you and the team achieve client media campaign KPIs within agreed timeline and budget with minimal intervention from your direct manager.
  3. Ensure client concerns are handled regularly with problem-solving for any campaign issues.
  4. Ensure timely reporting of campaign performance with quality data analysis, insights, and recommendations.
  5. Ensure client budgets are in line with agency revenue goals and you contribute to new business projects.

In 12 months:

  1. Reach out to the wider GroupM network to evaluate collaborative opportunities.
  2. Mentor new media planners and assist in leading small-scale projects (identify need, formulate idea into a plan, set the scope, and present it to your manager).

What you will need:

  1. Undergraduate degree in communication, media, or business management is a plus (Post-graduate/masters preferred).
  2. 5+ years of working experience with an E-commerce platform or an E-commerce enabler or a business for which the primary revenue stream is E-commerce based (e.g., FMCG, beauty, etc.).
  3. Knowledge of all aspects of Digital Media, including Search, SEO, SEM, etc.
  4. Experience in developing and implementing analysis and reporting strategies.
  5. Strong analytical skills with consideration to company/client objectives.
  6. Project management; ability to manage multiple projects across critical yet often fluctuating deadlines.
  7. Ability to prioritize and multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure.
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills; English is preferred.
  9. Excellent MS Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
