Maintenance Engineer (Plastics Blow/Injection Moulding)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • At least 5 years' experience in maintenance is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as maintenance.
  • Experience in plastics molding, automation, or robotics is an advantage.

Job Technical Skills:

  • Maintenance management, TPM
  • Ability to operate forklift, hoist, and lifting equipment
  • Ability to read, sketch, and understand electrical diagrams, prints, and control logic diagrams
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, sitting, climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping, and standing
  • Ability to work at heights up to 20 meters
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot electrical and machine problems
  • Good communication skills required in both Indonesian and English
  • Safety mindset
  • Quality awareness

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage activities of maintenance and repairs of all utility and facility equipment.
  • Supervise job orders for repair and maintenance activities.
  • Manage maintenance technician/operator teams.

Responsibility 1: Preventive Maintenance:

  • Coordinate the procurement of new utility equipment to assure manufacturing, maintainability, and Health, Safety & Environmental requirements are met.
  • Work with the Engineering Department to define technical specifications for alterations on existing equipment and facilities.
  • Coordinate both repair and preventive maintenance requirements for all utility and facility equipment.
  • Identify and develop standards for utility equipment repair, setup, and operation.
  • Participate in Production System Efficiency and Quality System Efficiency workshops to support continuous improvement.
  • Define and monitor quality, cost, and delivery objectives given to external companies for maintenance actions.
  • Monitor the purchase and inventory of spare parts and consumables to eliminate downtime.
  • Recommend safety policies and ensure safety controls are tested and reliable.

Responsibility 2: Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with safety rules such as LOTO and 6 Non-Negotiables, acting as safety manager on duty during nights and weekends.
  • Follow LOTO requirements strictly before entering any machinery.
  • Report accidents, illnesses, or health issues caused by work to the employer and Safety Officer immediately after the incident.
  • Minimize OHS hazards and environmental impact from activities performed in the plant.
  • Report any abnormal cases regarding OHS hazards and environmental issues.
  • Suggest improvements for OHS hazards and environmental compliance.
  • Participate in OHS hazard and environmental improvement programs.
  • Analyze risks for subordinates and in your area of responsibility, potentially working with an EHS Officer.
  • Teach safe and correct working methods to employees.
  • Ensure machinery, tools, and equipment are in safe condition before work starts.
  • Supervise the use of personal protective equipment for employees in your area of responsibility.
