Metso is seeking a Logistics Supervisor who will be placed in Surabaya, Indonesia.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

1. Forward planning to achieve on-time delivery requirements.
2. Actively participate in promoting, supporting, and enhancing our company Core Purpose, Core Values, and Company Culture.
3. Liaise with sending locations (internal and external suppliers), Logistics Service Providers, and Order Management Teams to provide quotations and freight options/solutions for shipping.
4. Handle cargo arranged via PLB involving clearance in/out and understand related government regulations.
5. Highlight risks where foreseeable and mitigate risks where possible.
6. Mentor logistics employees by providing support and training.
7. Optimize freight spend where possible.
8. Work in line with the company’s global transportation framework agreements for both international and domestic freight movements.
9. Involve in regular customs audits.
10. Respond to and act on Order Management enquiries.
11. Expedite and track shipments, focusing on critical breakdown orders – providing milestone status updates to all relevant parties (end-to-end from planning through to delivery).
12. Utilize the Transportation Management System (TMS) and SAP for coordinating shipments from end-to-end, ensuring delivery in the most timely and cost-efficient manner.
13. Obtain, check, and prepare documentation to meet customs requirements, packing specifications, and compliance with overseas and in-country regulations.
14. Mitigate customs duty and utilize freight concessions where possible.
15. Support with maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans, and similar data.
16. Prepare and disseminate inbound shipment reporting.
17. Check and process creditor’s invoices in accordance with established timeframes and procedures.
18. Adhere to the company’s global policies, procedures, guidelines, legal requirements, trade compliance regulations, and ethical standards.

WHO YOU ARE

ESSENTIAL

1. Experience in a similar role.
2. 5+ years of previous experience in logistics management and experience leading a team.
3. Great interpersonal skills.
4. Working knowledge of international (import/export/air/ocean) and domestic (air/road) transport, customs and regulatory compliance guidelines, and knowledge in PLB operation.
5. Experience in customs audits.
6. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
7. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Organizational and time management skills.
9. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
10. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, positively contributing to the culture of the organization.
11. Articulate, engage, and analyze situations, seeking practical solutions to drive positive outcomes.

DESIRABLE

1. SAP experience is preferred.
