Logistics Coordinator Lead - Chemical Distributor

About Our Client

Our client is an established player in the chemical industry. As part of a larger multinational group, the company specializes in importing and distributing chemical products, as reflected in its trade activities in Indonesia.

Job Description

• Coordinate with Customer Service on delivery schedule and paperwork needed for clearance.
• Oversee the clearance of inbound shipments into Indonesia together with the clearance agents and expedite when possible.
• Collaborate with the regional tolling planner and customer service to ensure smooth tolling operations that meet customer needs.
• Prepare and issue invoices to customers and vendors, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained along with other documents such as three-way match.
• Coordinate with government agencies as necessary.
• Sign VAT documents and other paperwork related to invoicing.
• Provide administrative support to the local business in Indonesia as needed.
• Ensure all operations comply with Indonesian regulations.

The Successful Applicant

• 3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management.
• Familiarity with import/export regulations, customs clearance, and international shipping processes.
• Prior experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
• Effective communication with internal teams (e.g., customer service, procurement) and external partners (e.g., carriers, customs agents).
• Strong command of English (reporting to an expat and cross-border team).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle unexpected challenges.
• Able to work independently.
