Our client is a stable manufacturing company based in Palembang and Jakarta. Currently, they are looking for a procurement manager who will be responsible for procuring all direct and indirect materials for production, with the majority categories being log wood and resin.

Their products are used mostly in furniture manufacturing, interior design, and construction. As one of the biggest players in the region with export orientation, they are looking for talented individuals that will help to drive their growth.

Description

• Communicate/ negotiate with suppliers for contracts and all other manufacturing related issues, especially for log wood and resins.
• Liaise with local suppliers for new/recurring orders and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Select and develop suppliers and business opportunities.
• Maintain and grow partnerships with internal and external teams across functions frequently.
• Ensure that processes are aligned with various departments in the company.
• Lead a team of 10 strategically and report to senior management in a timely manner.

Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering or a related field from Tier 1 universities.
• Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience, with a good track record.
• Exposure to contract benchmarking.
• Project management experience to drive improvement initiatives.
• Well-developed influencing skills and able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Hands-on and able to deal with private forest owners in the region.
• Willing to be placed in Palembang.
